Billy Jenkins - guitar Publicity Photos Here Billy Jenkins began his professional career in 1972 as the leader of the art rock band Burlesque. He formed the Voice Of God Collective (VOGC) in 1981 and has since produced a body of over 30 recorded albums. Projects have included recording and performing with The Fun Horns Of Berlin, improvised musical boxing Big Fights, Music For Low Strung Guitar, directing Anglo-Belgium and London Meets Vienna ensembles, composing and performing with The Gogmagogs in collaboration with Keith Tippett, Errollyn Wallen and Said Murad plus festival and club appearances on the continent and UK. Ian McMillan was born and lives in South Yorkshire. He is famous for his work as Barnsley F.C. poet in residence, presenter of The Verb on Radio 3, Poetry Please and Booked on Radio 4, Antiques Treasure Trail, Room With A Clue and frequent contributions to The Johnnie Walker Show, Sky Sport, Mark Radcliffe Show, Front Row and Radio 5 Live - as well as his performances in poetry venues across the nation. His latest collection Perfect Catch is published by Carcanet and includes The Yorkshire Pudding Boat Songs. Andy Diagram performs in the UK, USA and Europe with his own band SPACEHEADS (dance music) plus avant-rock legends Pere Ubu and David Thomas and two pale boys. He spent three years as a member of the pop chart-toppers James and worked with Velvet Underground's Nico and 808 States' Graham Massey.

Angie Harrison left her career with the Hallé Orchestra
ten years ago to train as a Music Therapist - and marry a North
Yorkshire farmer. She now leads a team of therapists employed
by the North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre. During her long
career with the Hallé orchestra she worked with Nigel
Kennedy, Yehudi Menuhin, Luciano Pavarotti and Kent Nagano. More
recently she appeared with Jane Horrocks and Michael Caine in
the Mark Herman film 'Little Voice'. She has knit in the
finest concert venues around the world - Royal Albert Hall, London;
Carnegie Hall, New York; Berlin Philharmonie and the Hollywood
Bowl. Her debut knitting on the concert platform was at
the Viaduct Theatre, Dean Clough, Halifax in 2001 at the world
premiere of HAT.
Simon Thackray - concept / production Simon Thackray was born in North Yorkshire, England in 1960. An artist and promoter (and former farm building manufacturer), he founded The Shed in 1992. Simon draws, makes sculpture and takes photographs but is best known for creating, and staging, unique art events like the Yorkshire Pudding Boat Race, Fish and Chip van tour, and HAT - the performance of words, music and knitting. His most recent happening was a tour of market towns with legendary saxophonist Lol Coxhill in a skip. "He's a strange'un alright,
but the art world could do with more of his kind of far-reaching
woolly thinking."
